In the heart of Copenhagen sits the vibrant and eclectic home that Danish illustrator Lisa Grue shares with her young son and partner Denis, an absolute physical reflection of the colorful, oft-quirky, and always thoughtful aesthetic seen in many of her artworks. In fact, many of the colorful large-scale works and the painted plates seen in the above photos are Lisa’s own works. The images are from the Swedish magazine “Rum hemma,” which recently profiled Lisa & her perfectly appointed home, capturing the marriage of classic Scandinavian style, peppered with unique trinkets from her frequent trips to Japan.
Also a visual delight is Lisa’s shared studio, where her design collective “Underwerket” operates from – you can view those lovely photos here.
To “get the look,” prints and other decor by Lisa are available on her online shop. And more about her daily musings and inspirations can be seen on her blog.
We absolutely love these almost-too-adorable animated GIFs that Anna Hrachovec created with some of her Mochimochi Land favorites…most notably these little lovebirds below…

If you can’t get enough of Stina Persson‘s works, and if you love the feeling of being at the top of an untouched snowy trail, then this news is sure the thrill: renowned ski brand Atomic approached Stina this time last year to design the surface pattern for two of it’s upcoming season’s Women’s ski models, the Elysian & Supreme, for their Winter 2012/2013 collection. They were unveiled just recently at the annual SIA trade show in Denver and received a great response.
The skis aren’t available for purchase just yet, but keep an eye on the Atomic website to snag a pair once they are!
Masaki Ryo lent his colorful, whimsical style to the Japanese Woman’s magazine Story‘s advertorial on Maison Brand’s shoes, “Shoes That Fit Perfectly.” Its a beautiful photo-incorporated collage which marries the shoes with Masaki’s dreamy boutique setting.
From the ever-talented Gisela Goppel come two samples of lovely new works, each very different in style.
She collaborates weekly with Jeroen van Roojen, the head of fashion and style at the Neue Züricher Zeitung, a major Swiss newspaper, and he is writing a weekly column on style etiquette where she contributes the illustrations. This fall he published a book called ” Hat das Stil?” which is a guidebook living a civilized life. Gisela contributed the cover illustration and ten main chapter illustrations.
Gisela also recently worked with Pocket-Shop, a Swedish bookstore, on a series of three notebooks. Pocket-Shop asked three illustrators to design the covers for their notebooks, to represent the three countries where their shops are located (Sweden, Finland, and Germany). There are three beautiful cut-paper designs from Gisela!
We’re thrilled to announce the just launched custom collection by Stina Persson for Wedding Paper Divas, the first-ever foray into this specific industry by the talented Stina. The collection features 15 original designs by Stina, each available as Save the Dates, Formal Invites, Enclosure & Response cards, and Thank You notes – and most available in several color way options.
On her inspiration behind it, Stina says “I am a thrift store addict and visit at least one a day. I look for old magazine, wallpapers, nice pieces of fabrics, clothing anything with interesting illustrations or prints. Lately nature inspires more and more too. Anything from Peonies to insects to crumbled eaves and barren branches.”
For more background on her collection, and a peek into her studio, here is a great “Meet the Designer” post on the Wedding Paper Divas blog.
We hope you will enjoy this collection, and as a special launch offer, Wedding Paper Divas has extended a limited time promotional code for 20% off on any designs in Stina’s collection, usable through March 20th, to be entered at checkout: STINA20
We’re so happy to announce the launch of our all new CWC-i agency site. It’s been a long-time in the making and we’re very pleased to now roll it out to our clients & fans.
Our driving goal behind the redesign was to create a more dynamic site that showcases the diverse types of projects that our artists are doing globally, and better presents their new works & collaborations.
We also worked to simplify the paths for our visitors to access the content they’re looking for. In doing so, we made a conscious effort to let images do most of the talking, as you’ll see in the total revamp of our homepage, as well as the redesign of each Artist’s CWC-i portfolio page. You can now check our homepage often for our latest news on the work our artists are doing internationally, downloadable goodies, and other global agency updates.
Additionally, we’ve introduced a dedicated area for clients who are looking specifically for Pattern work. Here you can view various styles of surface design series, created by several of our artists who specialize in this medium. Similarly, there is now a dedicated area to showcase Characters that have been developed by our artists. Here you can view a variety of Character series that are available for licensing opportunities or other commercial projects.

We’re very lucky to represent a roster of artists who are spread throughout the globe, and who give us the opportunity to work on projects with clients near & far – and we hope that the developments to our agency site make sharing updates on the work we’re doing a lot easier!
If you have feedback or questions about our redesigns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us by phone or email! Thank you very much for your support and the great work in 2011 & cheers to 2012!
*and a very special thank you to our developer James Butts for helping us execute our vision!
